PostSubject: Jaroussky's Golden Ticket   11th January 2012, 20:15

I only want to share with you one of the most acclamed presents I gave last Christmas. Since I'm Spanish we give our gifts on 6th January, the Three Magicians Kings bring gifts for the good children...so I do it with my boyfriend. I must confess it was a gift also for me, blush but he had other things too...

I was inspired by Roald Dahl's fabulous book Charlie and the Chocolat Factory, who among us has not ever dreamt about having a Golden ticket?

I'm glad you like it! I'm now listening to the Paris' Giulio Cesare with Jaroussky (who else?) while I'm working. It is difficult to concentrate...I need to search for a libretto or at least an abstract of the story.

BTW I'm starting to go crazy about Sances's Presso le onde tranquille, I've been listening this cantat in loop for more than hour... music

I don't know much about this author but I guess his real name was Sánchez. can you bring some light here?

I know very little of Sances , but I thought he was a Roman and contemporary Cesti, Legrenzi, Cazzati and all the wonderful seventeenth-century Italian composers whose music, in the voice of Philippe, seems just finished writing.
In the vast repertoire of Philippe, the music of this period acquires an especially character intimate and moving. I think it's very difficult to overcome what he does and how it does, but I'm as biased as you, ie I am absolutely enchanted by her voice.
At this time of night I can not hear him sing because I risk not being able to sleep the rest of the night. I think of "Ombra face", for example, and as says "sposa", in a manner so gentle, so tender ... swoon
Felipe is going to kill me.
